Project description and objectives

The purpose of this project was to distribute boxes of children’s gifts to needy children in the regions around Osh. Specifically, the project took place in Aravan district, Nookat district, Ozgen district, Osh city

Major Activities Completed and Results

In consultation with district government leaders, CDI staff chose locations where more needy children or orphans were to be found. Then we visited the locations and gave each child a box containing such items as clothing, school supplies, hygiene supplies, sweets and toys.

A total of 500 needy children in 6 different locations received boxes. The children were thrilled to receive these boxes, and many expressed their thanks. The children’s homes directors and village leaders also expressed their thanks.
